Egyptian Walking Onions Egyptian Walking Onion (Allium cepa Proliferum) isn't from Egypt at all.
It gets its name from the fact that its topset bulbs resemble Medusa.
These bulbs eventually fall over from their own weight and take root and "walk" across the garden, forming new onions that do the same.
With just minimal care, once you plant these onions, you will always have them, making them an "heirloom" onion.
Not only do Egyptian Walking Onions multiply by topset bulbs, the parent bulbs also multiply. Egyptian Walking Onions are very cold hardy, surviving and thriving even into Canada.
Onions are dug fresh when you order.
They need one day to cure, then will be shipped
